The Sun Hydraulics U5T/S (U5T/S) is a versatile manifold designed for compatibility with solenoid-operated and electroproportional cartridges. This line mount manifold features a unique ninety-degree body type, which accommodates both standard and weatherized coils, ensuring flexibility in various applications. The manifold includes extra material around the cavity to provide necessary coil clearance and incorporates the spotface required for Sun's weatherized coil. It has a mounting hole diameter of 0.34 inches (8.6 mm) and is drilled through with two mounting holes available for secure installation. The U5T/S model has one open cavity compatible with T8A cartridges and features an SAE 4 port size. Constructed from 6061-T651 aluminum, this manifold offers excellent corrosion resistance without the need for anodizing, which can compromise fatigue life by introducing brittle surfaces prone to crack initiation under pressure. This robust construction ensures durability in demanding environments up to a maximum system pressure of 3000 psi (210 bar), making it suitable for various hydraulic systems where reliability and performance are critical.
