The Hydraforce 5614917 (5614917) is a screw-in, cartridge-style, direct-acting spool type hydraulic pressure reducing/relieving valve designed for secondary circuit pressure regulation. This valve features an internal spring chamber drain and a spool damping chamber to enhance performance and reliability. Engineered to allow bidirectional flow from port 2 to port 1 in its steady state, the PR50-38XXX model shifts upon reaching a predetermined pressure at port 1 to block flow at port 2, effectively regulating the pressure at port 1. Additionally, it can relieve pressure from port 1 to port 3 at a variable value over the set reducing pressure. The valve is built with hardened spool and cage components for extended durability and includes optional spring ranges up to 227.5 bar (3300 psi). Adjustments cannot be backed out of the valve, ensuring that springs do not go solid during operation. Port 2 can be protected by an optional 60 mesh, 250-micron rated screen if needed. This industry-common size valve is suitable for applications requiring precise pressure control in hydraulic systems.
