The Hydraforce 5111171 (5111171) is a solenoid-operated, pressure-compensated, spool-type, normally closed, priority type proportional flow control regulator. Designed for versatility, it can function as a restrictive type, 2-way pressure compensated proportional flow regulator when port 2 is blocked. With inlet flow at port 1, the valve efficiently regulates priority flow out of port 3, maintaining consistent performance regardless of system working pressure. The flow rate is proportional to the current applied to the solenoid, while any excessive flow will bypass out of port 2. This bypass can be utilized for auxiliary function control; however, it is crucial to avoid dead heading of the priority line by external valving to prevent blocking of the bypass line. In applications where port 2 is blocked in restrictive mode, the flow rate out of port 3 remains proportional to the solenoid's current irrespective of load or pressure at port 3. The PV70-30 boasts excellent linearity and hysteresis characteristics and features a hardened spool and cage for enhanced durability.
