The Hydraforce 5040174 (5040174) is a solenoid-operated, 2-port, normally open, poppet-type, screw-in hydraulic cartridge valve. This valve is specifically designed to function as a load holding or blocking valve in systems that require low internal leakage. The operation of this valve is straightforward: when de-energized, the SVPAX allows flow from port 1 to port 2 and vice versa. Upon energization, the valve closes to block flow from port 1 to port 2 while allowing flow from port 2 to port 1 after overcoming the solenoid force. Key features of the Hydraforce 5040174 include an integral position sensor that indicates when the valve has shifted, making it easier for system monitoring and diagnostics. The continuous-duty rated coil ensures reliable operation even under prolonged usage. The valve seat is hardened for enhanced durability and minimal leakage over its lifespan. It also offers optional coil voltages and terminations to accommodate diverse system requirements. The efficient wet-armature construction contributes to the robust performance of the valve. Cartridges are designed to be voltage interchangeable which provides flexibility in system design and upgrades. Furthermore, the waterproof E-Coils are rated up to IP69K ensuring protection against ingress of dust and high temperature high-pressure water jets. The unitized, molded coil design enhances structural integrity while the solenoid tubes and coils are treated for corrosion resistance with a 500-hour salt-spray rating, making them suitable for challenging environments.
